The Logic Factory facilitates Emons in the migration to Quintiq 4.4″

The Emons Group (www.emons.nl) is using Quintiq’s Logistic Planner for several years for planning all their orders. A single planning solutions for all business units. Emons Group has asked The Logic Factory to facilitate them in the migration to Quintiq 4.4 to benefit of the improvements and to be ready for future developments and Emons is now operational on Quintiq 4.4. This first project is the basis for a long term relationship between the  Emons Group  and The Logic Factory.

The Emons Group is a logistics services provider in specific markets and has offices in several European countries. Emons Cargo focuses on pan European transport with its 2WIN^® Concept, consisting of a trailer with two solid decks that was developed completely in-house. This trailer has the capability to load a maximum of 54 euro pallets with an available height of 1.80 m. Van Huët provides glass logistics solutions for the flat glass industry throughout Europe using some 300 special trailers  called inloaders. In house developed and patented concepts like MaXi^®-Trailer, ELT⁺ and Logiglass^® reduce transport cost and  CO₂ emissions.

The Logic Factory participates in “Mumbai & Amsterdam: Smart Service Hubs”

On March 26th a logistics event was hosted by the Port of Amsterdam and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Mumbai as part of the trade mission of the city of Amsterdam to Mumbai.

The event focused on the fact that both Amsterdam and Mumbai are integrated business and logistics hubs and on the recognition that ports and logistics is not simply about the act of transportation and the supply chain, but also what surrounds the supply chain. The advanced business products of surrounding services, such as IT, finance, fiscal, legal, safety & security and insurance, is what develops real value within the sector. As such, those present at the event not only included representatives from ports and logistics, but also from IT, banking, maritime insurance and fiscal advice. The Logic Factory participated in this event as domain experts from the field of advanced planning & scheduling and logistics IT. The event was visited by many Indian captains of industry, the CEO of the Port of Amsterdam, Mrs. Dertje Meijer, and the mayor of Amsterdam, Mr. Eberhard van der Laan.
